Hoopfest Spokane — The World's Largest 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Every last weekend of June, downtown Spokane transforms into the basketball capital of the world. Hoopfest — the world's largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament — takes over 45 city blocks with 450 courts, 6,000+ teams, and over 225,000 spectators. If you haven't experienced it, you truly can't imagine the scale.

This isn't just a basketball tournament. It's Spokane's single biggest event of the year, and one of the most unique sporting events in the entire country.

What Is Hoopfest?

Founded in 1990, Hoopfest has grown from a local tournament into an internationally recognized event. For one weekend, the streets of downtown Spokane become an outdoor basketball arena. Courts are set up on every block, and games run from early morning until evening. There are divisions for every age and skill level — from kids just learning the game to elite players competing for serious prizes.

But Hoopfest is about more than basketball. The surrounding festival features live music on multiple stages, food vendors from across the region, merchandise booths, contests, and a party atmosphere that's infectious. Even if you don't play basketball, Hoopfest is an incredible spectator experience.
