If there's one thing that unites all of Spokane, it's Gonzaga basketball. On game nights, the city turns blue and white. The energy at McCarthey Athletic Center — affectionately known as "The Kennel" — is electric, and the Bulldogs have become one of the most consistently excellent programs in all of college basketball.
Whether you're a lifelong Zags fan making a pilgrimage to The Kennel or you're visiting Spokane and want to experience the city's biggest cultural event, a Gonzaga basketball game is an absolute must.
The 2025–2026 Season
This year is historic. It's Gonzaga's final season in the West Coast Conference before the program officially joins the Pac-12 Conference on July 1, 2026. Under legendary head coach Mark Few — now in his 27th season — the Bulldogs are competing at the highest level as they prepare for their new conference home.
The roster features a talented mix of returning stars and exciting additions. Keep an eye on Graham Ike and Braden Huff in the frontcourt, Braeden Smith running the point, and transfer Adam Miller providing backcourt scoring. With the Pac-12 transition on the horizon, the team is playing with an extra level of intensity.
McCarthey Athletic Center — "The Kennel"
The Kennel is one of the most intimidating venues in college basketball. With a capacity of 6,000 and a student section that rivals any in the country, the atmosphere is absolutely electric. Gonzaga home games regularly sell out, and the energy from tip-off to final buzzer is something you have to experience in person.

Game Day in Spokane
Game day in Spokane is an event unto itself. Here's what we recommend:
- Pre-game: Head to Jack & Dan's Bar & Grill near campus — the unofficial pre-game headquarters for Gonzaga fans
- Grab a beer: Hit one of Spokane's great breweries before the game
- Post-game: The bars around campus and downtown will be buzzing after a win. It's one of the best nights out in Spokane
