One of the best things about visiting Spokane between May and October is the farmers market scene. Two markets in particular are worth planning your trip around — and both are easy to reach from Manito Bungalow.
South Perry Thursday Market
The South Perry Thursday Market is our favorite. Set in the heart of the Perry District — the same neighborhood that's home to Perry Street Brewing — this intimate, community-focused market has the kind of energy that makes you want to move to the neighborhood.
Over 20 local vendors line the street with fresh produce, flowers, honey, herbs, artisan prepared foods, and handcrafted goods. Live music plays in the background. Kids run around. Neighbors catch up. It's the kind of Thursday evening that reminds you why small-city life is appealing.
The market accepts credit cards, debit, WIC, Senior FMNP, and SNAP EBT with matching — a commitment to making local food accessible to everyone.

Spokane Farmers Market (Saturday)
The Saturday Spokane Farmers Market is the larger of the two, set in Brownes Addition's Coeur d'Alene Park. This one draws a wider cross-section of Spokane — families, foodies, tourists — and the vendor selection reflects that range. Seasonal produce takes center stage, but you'll also find baked goods, preserves, flowers, and local artisan products.
It's a perfect Saturday morning activity: grab coffee, stroll the market, fill a bag with produce, then head back to the bungalow to cook a meal with everything you found. The fully stocked kitchen at Manito Bungalow makes this especially rewarding.

When to Visit
Both markets run from May through October, with the best produce selection in mid-summer through early fall. If you're visiting Spokane during market season, try to overlap your stay with a Thursday or Saturday. The combination of fresh local food, community atmosphere, and a fully equipped kitchen back at the bungalow is one of the best things about a Spokane vacation.
