Uprise Brewing brings fresh, creative energy to Spokane's already impressive brewery scene. Located at the edge of Kendall Yards — one of Spokane's most walkable neighborhoods — Uprise combines award-winning craft beer with scratch-made food and a modern taproom that's become a destination in its own right.
The Beer
Founded by Jonathan Sweatt and brothers Ryan and Brandon Hare, Uprise has quickly built a reputation for quality and creativity. Their rotating tap list features a mix of core beers and experimental releases that keep things interesting without losing focus. Whether you're reaching for an approachable lager or a bold seasonal, you'll find something worth ordering here.
They've picked up awards along the way, which is no small feat in a city with over 40 breweries competing for attention.
The Food
Unlike many taprooms that treat food as an afterthought, Uprise takes their kitchen seriously. The menu is scratch-made — real food, not reheated bar snacks — and it's designed to pair with the beer. It's the kind of place where you can come for dinner and the brewery just happens to be the setting.
The Location
Uprise sits at the edge of Kendall Yards, right near the Centennial Trail. In good weather, the combination is perfect: walk or bike the trail along the Spokane River, then reward yourself with a cold beer and a meal at Uprise. The neighborhood itself is full of independent shops, restaurants, and a vibrant Wednesday Farmers Market during summer.
